During the presentation of the Startup Albania project, William Brander, head of the Development Program and the Strategy and Organization sector of the Executive Program, praised Prime Minister Edi Rama's initiative to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the structures of the Albanian government.
He described this step as a bold vision that will enable the development of innovation and the creation of new opportunities for society and the economy.
“Great honor to be here today. Albania is getting a lot of attention not only for AI, but because of you, your contribution. You are not a normal country. He is not a normal prime minister. And that is a good thing because you have no limitations. There are so many people in Albania that the population is equal to a small city in China but you don't need a scale or capacity to innovate, you need the goodwill to be naive, naivety is the price of being a genius. They thought that if you open AI it is madness, now they think it is genius. You are making the environment safe for the entire public and you will create genius with this terrain.
"If you want to embrace innovation, turbulence is a favorable situation because it allows you to disrupt the status quo. The reason why you are an inspiring country is because you have disrupted the status quo. You are the epitome of disruptive innovation, in a creative sense. The first thing is to understand that governments are the ones who do the innovation," he said.
