Journalist Klodiana Lala spoke about the extradition from Dubai of Florenc Çapja three days ago, for which the GJKKO has confirmed the security measure "arrest in prison".
Lala says that Dubai no longer seems like a safe place for underworld figures. According to her, there seems to be a tacit agreement between the Albanian government and the authorities in Dubai to remove them in various ways.
The journalist also recounts the moment Florenc Çapja was arrested by authorities in Dubai. She says the police told him he had to come with them because his documents had expired, and then they brought him back to Albania.
"Dubai is no longer a safe haven. It seems like there is a tacit agreement between the Albanian government and the authorities in Dubai, to expel in various forms or ways. The police say extradition, the people themselves in conflict with the law say deportation or it is their desire to come to Albania, but the fact that after Plarent Dervishaj, Julian Meçaj, Florec Çapja was extradited and came to Albania, means that Dubai is no longer a safe haven for people in crime.
In my opinion, the Albanian authorities are sending data, or emails, or files there, trying to convince the authorities in Dubai that these characters pose a threat to the security of this country.
Florenc Çapja was out walking with his son when the authorities approached him and told him he had to come with us because his documents had expired, and then they brought him back to Albania. It's not exactly extradition. Extradition means there has to be a bilateral agreement approved through the Ministry of Justice.
"I think that all the people involved in the criminal organization and murder are being extradited. They don't have this kind of sensitivity for other cases because there may be many other people convicted of lesser criminal offenses there, but there has been no commitment from the authorities in Dubai to deport them," Lala told Euronews Albania.
Among other things, the journalist raises the question of who Florenc Çapja really is and why they love him in Albania.
"He is a character who has been accused of very serious criminal offenses. The charges have not been proven for years. Rightly or wrongly, he was sent to life imprisonment for a murder committed in 2012, where a father and son were killed. Furthermore, there are suspicions of a new charge of "creating the conditions to commit murder" to the detriment of Sokol Sanxhatari. He is also known as a sworn opponent of Suel Çela.
"His criminal record was very serious and I think the authorities in Dubai are no longer providing shelter for these people who could pose problems for the security of this country," she said.
