
The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has reacted after the extradition to our country of the much-wanted Behar Bajri.
Through a reaction on social networks, Balla writes that the Albanian police cooperated with the French police and INTERPOL for the extradition of Bajri.
He also said that the process of extradition to Albania of the BB citizen, who was declared wanted by justice, has been successfully completed.
"Congratulations to the State Police, the French Police and of course INTERPOL for the cooperation in finding the persons wanted by the Albanian justice system. The process of extradition to Albania of the suspect BB, who was declared wanted by the justice system, has been successfully completed. Other results like this will continue", writes Balla.
Bajri was detained in France on September 4, which country accepted the extradition of the much-wanted man to Albania.
Bajri was declared an international wanted by Interpol Tirana, within the coded police operation "Metamorfoza", developed in August, by the structures of the State Police, in cooperation with the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime.
He is charged with five criminal offenses, the most important of which are those of "Structured Criminal Group" and "Premeditated Murder".
Who is Behar Bajri?
Bajri is part of the criminal group sunk by the investigation file of the "Metarfoza" operation.
Investigations against Bajri and 14 others implicated in the "Metamorfoza" file started in 2019, after the dismantling of the "Sky" and "EnkroChat" networks by the partner countries, which brought their findings to our country.
In the "Metamorfoza" file, Behar Bajri is accused of being the organizer of the murder of Gjin Boriçi on behalf of the missing Ervis Martinaj, the insurance of persons for the attempted murder of Kleanthi Musabelliu, on behalf of the businessman Pëllumb Gjoka and ordering the murders that were not carried out never of Dorian Duli, Genc Tafili and Ibrahim Lici.
Bajri is considered one of the most dangerous characters of the underworld in Albania, he is also accused of having killed his 15-year-old partner, Fabiola Bajri, and citizen Arben Tuzi in their sleep, these events took place in 2002.
Bajri organized and planned all these events after he was released from prison with a reduced arrest warrant, signed by prosecutor Xhevahir Lita, arrested after allegedly receiving 30,000 euros for this honor.
