Dashnor Dumani, the brother of Nuredin Dumani, and Armis Stafa were extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Tirana today. Two people wanted for several events and as members of criminal groups.
Former Prosecutor Ervin Karanxha, in an interview with "Report TV", said that even though we do not have an agreement between the two parliaments on extradition, Dubai is based on some internal rules to make this decision.
According to him, those extradited may be reported as unsuitable for the life they lead there, or they may be reported as persons involved in suspicious events in their place of residence.
"Now the question arises why they have returned and Dubai has its own rules, despite not having an extradition law, it has a stronger territorial control than we do. Dubai has brought them also because they do not meet the conditions there and above all they may have been involved in other events. "
Karanxha continues by saying that the footage shows that the two extradited, Dashnor Dumani and Armis Stafa, were caught in Dubai by surprise, without knowing they would come here.
"The footage shows that they were taken by surprise, the people did not know they were coming here," said Karanxha.
On the other hand, Karanxha has also commented on SPAK's actions in relation to electoral crimes.
" Now regarding the comment on what SPAK has done about electoral crimes. Now SPAK and Altin Dumani could not come out at 6 in the morning. He has his own duty to wait for the information. SPAK does not give results for the elections. The competent body is the CEC ," he concluded.
