Journalist Milaim Zeka spoke about the McGonigal case file, where the name of former agent Agron Neza is included.
Agron Neza's name is mentioned in the file of the former FBI official, Charles McGonigal, who allegedly received money from a former employee of the Albanian intelligence services and did not report contacts and connections with officials of other countries.
Zeka said that Agron Neza was often introduced to Albanian and Kosovo officials as an FBI official and the fact that he was often found at the table with McGonigal created credibility that he was part of it.
He also said that he had personally met the two in a restaurant, as he knew Agron Neza's brother.
"Agron Neza was a member of the state security at the time of Enver Hoxha's security, but at the time of Sali Berisha, he escaped due to the persecutions by SHIK. Later, in Kosovo and Albania, he presented himself as a senior FBI official.
He told someone that he works at the FBI in Berlin, someone else at the FBI in America, but higher officials of the state of Kosovo and Albania believed him. He was to believe that I personally met Agron Neza in a restaurant in Albania together with Charles McGonigal. I have known Agron Neza's brother before, who is a very good journalist. The fact that I met him with the head of the FBI gave me credibility in relation to him and gave me credibility that Aron Neza was part of the FBI," Zeka told Euronews.
We remind you that today Agron Neza has left SPAK after six hours, while he was called for the purpose of the investigation on the McGonigal case.
McGonigal solicited money from Neza and then took trips to Europe, where the former FBI official apparently used his position to try to generate business for Mr. Neza, prosecutors in the Washington suit suggested.
