The opening of a DEA branch in Tirana is an alarm bell for justice, the police and politics itself...
The Drug Enforcement Administration, known as the DEA, is back in motion regarding drug trafficking in our country. After a long period of silence, DEA officials are back on the scene, signaling that something is moving. Last week, they again issued an appeal to citizens, asking them to inform them about criminal groups in the country.
After this message, a delegation of the Albanian police went to Washington, where they visited the DEA offices. They were welcomed by DEA Deputy Director George Papadopoulos, Chief of Operations William Kimbell and Regional Office Chief John Livanis.
It should be noted that the DEA has informed that they will open a permanent office in our country. Currently there are only a few agents, but the DEA will have its own office, just like in Greece. Also, until this office is opened, it has been decided to extend the tenure of the current officers.
" In conclusion, Mr. Papadopoulos agreed with the requests of the Albanian delegation, for the opening of the DEA office in Tirana, for the postponement of the deadline of the DEA representative in Tirana, as well as for the activation of the green number, which was activated a day after this meeting . Regarding the mediation of three agreements with Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador, Mr. Papadopoulos welcomed and charged Mr. Livanis, to mediate in order to give life to these agreements ", informs the police.
The opening of a DEA branch in Tirana is an alarm bell for justice, the police and politics itself. A few days ago, the DEA asked citizens to report gangs to it, confirming that it does not trust the police. In the ranks of the blue uniforms, names associated with traffickers are emerging, and a DEA office here will sink them. Also, the people of justice related to them and finally politics will be hit. There are powerful people who help the drug trade and this will shake them up. / Pamphlet
