Journalist Klodiana Lala has provided an overview of what happened in the May 11 elections, mainly regarding the influence of crime exponents during the campaign and in the voting.
According to Lala, there are 39 criminal files related to investigations into electoral crimes, and she hopes that the truth will be revealed, as this is not the will that Albanians have shown, referring to the unprecedented results in several regions, such as Durrës, Shkodër, Elbasan and Fier.
"There are 39 criminal cases being investigated, mainly for corruption in the elections, there have been controls in several districts. In Fier, the father of a PSD candidate was arrested. In Shkodra, the cell phone of the mayor of Vau i Dejës was seized. Rama and Doshi drew attention to the mayor of Vau i Dejës during the campaign. SPAK has strong suspicions that he may have been involved in favor of the PSD vote. But what impresses me is that so far there are no cases related to the PS. We must convey to the public everything we have seen, since in reality the entire administration was involved in the campaign, working for the PS. Public assets have also been used. There were also people from the underworld involved in the elections, in Durrës, Shkodra, but also Elbasan and Fieri. It did not influence at first glance and they were not identified, but they found forms.
In Durrës, Arkend Balla was the most voted SP candidate, while in 2021 he had not received more than 2 thousand votes. Now, 4 years later, he turns out to be more voted than the Prime Minister himself when he was in Durrës in 2021. This is a strong suspicion of electoral crime. SPAK had also conducted checks in several localities for the other candidate Ani Dyrmishi, as there were suspicions that the underworld had connections with the electoral headquarters. We have to wait and see what will be revealed. In Elbasan, we have Sara Milan, who received about 20 thousand votes. It is a vote either bought or influenced by organized crime, as there is an investigation into this issue, I am not saying this. A lady without any public contribution, without any contribution to the SP, suddenly receives more votes than any other candidate. The fact screams very loudly. We have an honored doctor, with an extraordinary contribution to public life, but also to politics, who is not going to Parliament, while we have Zeqinë in Roskovec, who will be in the Assembly with vulgar language. I hope that the 39 SPAK files will show the truth and reality , "said Lala.
