Having said all this, in two months of "silence", the Special Prosecutor's Office seems to have been busy receiving the latest directives from international allies. The latter are teaching their professional "secrets" to SPAK prosecutors, so that in the next strikes, they will not be left with a "path" to maneuver the "mammoths" of corruption
From the moment when GJKKO decided that the former prime minister, Sali Berisha, should be placed under house arrest, everyone thought that the "hour of justice" had come and that the cloak of the untouchables had fallen.
But since that decision, SPAK's pace seems to have dropped significantly and it's been almost 2 months since we heard of major strikes, let alone that corruption affairs are talked about for days with facts in the media.
But why this "silence" of SPAK, is it warning of a powerful "storm" in the coming days?
The answer is yes, and there are three key elements that have been sounding the alarm for days that the "storm" of justice is coming and that very soon we will have concrete actions.
The first element is that of the visit of the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, who gave the unconditional support of the US to the country's top justice leaders. Blinken met with the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, the president of the Constitutional Court, Holta Zaça, the High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani and the president of the Supreme Court, Sokol Sadushi, in a meeting that lasted 10 minutes, the content of which which remains a mystery.
But a post by the Secretary of State on the "X" social network made things clearer, where after the visit to Albania, Blinken clearly emphasized that justice reform and the fight against corruption and organized crime remain the main priorities of the USA . This is a clear message that SPAK must strike high in the corrupt ranks of Albanian politics.
" The United States is committed to supporting Albania on its path to EU membership and in the fight against corruption and organized crime. I discussed with Prime Minister Rama our cooperation to advance regional stability, cyber defense and judicial reform ," Blinken wrote on the "X" platform.
The second element was the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, between the Head of SPAK, Altin Dumani and the Director General of the Anti-crime Agency of the United Kingdom, Graeme Biggar.
The main object of this cooperation between SPAK and the National Anti-Crime Agency NCA, is the information about the bank accounts and the assets, which the Albanian officials have hidden there, through the transfer, the creation of businesses and alienated to other persons or businesses.
To pass through the filter inserted into the network, these assets that have been put through corruption and crimes in Albania; on March 1, 2024, 6 BKH agents will go to Britain, accompanied by 3 FBI experts who are on a mission to help SPAK and BKH.
This movement has alarmed all the corrupt rulers who have hidden their assets in Britain. Starting from Ilir Meta, the current director of Taxes, Ceno Klosi, the wife of the Secretary of the Prime Minister, Engjëll Agaçi, the wife of the current director of Customs, Genti Gazheli, several ministers, MPs, general secretaries of ministries, central directors, mayors, vetting commissioners, judges, prosecutors, police chiefs and even the English son-in-law of Vilma Nushi, who are known to have secretly transferred assets to Britain. But apparently the countdown has started and very soon, everyone will fall in the "claws" of justice.
The last but not the least important element was the meeting that SPAK prosecutors held a few days ago with high representatives of the Office for the Fight against Corruption and Organized Crime of the Republic of Croatia (USKOK) and with representatives from the United States Department of Justice. of America (OPDAT)! The meeting discussed the exchange of information, especially in dealing with money laundering cases in Croatia, especially real estate transactions, involving shell companies and funds coming from or passing through Albania.
The meeting initiated by the US had the purpose of showing SPAK, a model of a new justice, which has given the right results in the way against corruption and organized crime and the legislative reforms undertaken as part of the process of Croatia's accession to the European Union.
