The former prime minister, Sali Berisha, from the window of his apartment, where he has been under house arrest for about a month, has resumed his attacks on the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.
Until a few days ago, before appearing in SPAK, Berisha had shifted all his rhetoric to accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, he was talking about his powerful comeback and the citizens' revolution that would get him out of prison.
But everything changed after his call to SPAK!
Beyond the political 'noise' he makes every time he appears in the media, apparently Berisha understood from his 'visit' to SPAK a few days ago, that the "Partizani" file for which he is being investigated together with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Maltezi has been "caught up" and there is no escape.
But that's not all! The aggravation of Berisha seems to be related to two issues even bigger than that of "Partizan", with which SPAK can ultimately sink the former prime minister!
The first is the case of "Gërdec", in which the son of former Prime Minister Berisha, Shkëlzen Berisha, is accused of being involved. With the summoning of dozens of witnesses, the release of the fax 'for Shkëlzen' and the collection of some evidence from the USA, SPAK seems to be coming to the end of this case. The narrowing of the noose for the son of the former prime minister seems to have led to the aggravation of the latter towards SPAK.
January 21 is another "big trouble" that worries Berisha. Until today, this file has been in the hands of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, which has locked it in its drawer for more than 13 years.
But things seem to be changing already, as very soon the file may pass into the hands of SPAK. This is because on February 27, 2024, the Supreme Court will decide on the fate of the file of January 21 and, most likely, will pass it to be investigated by the Special Prosecutor's Office.
