Analyst Fatos Lubonja, in a Skype connection on the "Log." show on News24, refuted the narrative that the Socialist Party wins only against Sali Berisha.
Referring to ongoing public discussions, Lubonja has rejected the idea that the Socialist Party's victory is automatically linked to the presence of Sali Berisha at the head of the opposition.
" I reject a thesis that has often circulated that Rama wins because he has Berisha in front of him. This was not confirmed by the elections ," he said.
According to him, beyond the names, political balances have been disrupted and the current regime has concentrated all power in the hands of a single political force, which has directly affected the outcome of the vote.
Analyst Lubonja underlined that we are no longer faced with a normal electoral system, but with a reality where control over institutions and the involvement of criminal structures have deformed the democratic process.
" It's not the same as in the previous elections. The balance of forces has been disrupted. Edi Rama has taken all the power. You can't read this result without this context ," adding that " Sara Mila or Zegjineja did not get votes only for themselves, but for the party. They got three deputies in one city. These are votes of crime ."
