The well-known democrat from Korça, Ilir Vrenozi, spoke harshly against the leaders of the Democratic Party, saying that they entered the May 11 elections knowing that they would lose.
"They knew they would lose the elections. But when you know you will lose, why do you enter the elections? ", said Vrenozi indignantly.
He made a direct call for the new MPs to go on hunger strike after these elections. According to him, it is unacceptable for the DP to continue with the same political behavior while democratic supporters remain "in the streets."
" Now they will say: they stole from us, they made us. And then they will enter the Parliament to receive their salary? No! Let them go on a hunger strike there! Let's see how much...! Enough of the democratic people left on the streets, streets, streets... the pilaf no longer holds water. Let them go on a hunger strike", he declared in harsh tones on the "NOW" show on "Euronews Albania".
Vrenozi also mentioned a moment that personally revolted him: the publication of a photo showing Erion Braçe and Tritan Shehu together after the elections.
"It hurts me when I see that photo. I don't talk to half the building anymore because they are socialists, and these... instead of taking a stand, they shake hands with each other as if nothing happened. We have a heated situation, these people are laughing, " he said.
