" I remember the period when my grandfather left politics. As much as he wanted to completely break away from politics, they did not let him. Politicians, MPs from both sides would come to the house and ask for his opinion. I was very young when my grandfather was in politics. As a politician, he was fair, uncorrupted, he was not afraid to say what he thought, both for his own party, for opposing parties and for the people who were miserable at that time. I remember that my grandfather used to meet at home with Edi Rama, Lulzim Basha, I don't remember Berisha, but his brother was a close friend. Something that Meta himself told me is that my grandfather was his mentor, his teacher. Iliri was a friend of my father. Even Edi Rama or Fatos Nano. There were some problems with Nano because he didn't like the way he left politics or how he continued politics until he left. Meetings with politicians most of the time were social visits, not to get advice or opinions on what would be done in politics. But there were also cases when they came to ask for opinions ", says the grandson of the writer and politician.
