Ladi Ndoja from Rrësheni, husband of the DP candidate in Lezha Elda Hoti, was arrested last night by the police for electoral crimes, along with citizen Amarildo Jushi. Ndoja and Jushi were arrested for "Obstructing the movement of vehicles", "Driving vehicles in an irregular manner", "Self-judgment" and "Threat or violence against election participants".
But who is Ladi Ndoja, arrested in 2016 as a drug trafficker?
It was 2015, when Ndoja was arrested in Valencia, Italy, along with another Albanian, Lorenc Dona, 31, whose apartment had been turned into a drug den. They then processed and sold the cannabis on the Italian market.
The police were on their trail and after following them arrested them in the apartment of one of the traffickers in Venice. The police found two bags with 24 kg of marijuana in Ladi Ndoja's garage and another 28 kg in his apartment. They also found 24 blank identity cards stolen in 2012.
Then, anti-drug agents discovered the place where they were cultivating cannabis under artificial conditions, an industrial area near Venice.
