Argita Malltezi, the daughter of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, has become part of the protest in front of the Tirana City Hall.

She has chosen to convey a message about her father, wearing a T-shirt with the words "Free the leader of the Opposition" printed on it.

A group of citizens as well as representatives of the Democratic Party are protesting today in front of the Municipality of Tirana.

The state police has taken measures for the progress of the protest, sending an increased number of officers to the field. It seems that the officers have been equipped with all the necessary tools, including spacesuits and glass shields.

This protest reaction comes after the most recent corruption scandal in the municipality, as a result of which the protesting citizens demand the resignation of Erion Veliaj.
