Fredi Beleri continues to pin his hopes on Athena to get out of the cell. Even though we are on Albanian soil and we act according to our laws, Beleri desperately asks Athens to help him.
Today, he spoke from prison on a TV show, continuing to justify himself for the charges brought by the prosecutor's office. Beleri claims that he did not steal votes and is on the same line as Athens.
Asked what he expects from Athens, he stated: " I expect Athens, as well as any international organization, to use all instruments and not tolerate violations of the rule of law for any other cause, no matter how big it is. "
Beleri also attacked Prime Minister Rama. Today, the next trial against him was held and the court decided to pass the case for trial. Despite the fact that Athens has put pressure, the court did not step. Meanwhile, Beleri continues to claim that he was arrested politically and the person who trapped him is a fraud.
"I expect from the judiciary that a courageous judge will be found, who will not be influenced by political pressure and will apply the law and the Constitution, not to ease my position but to put the honor of the reformed justice in place. It is unfortunate that the court, with the decisions it takes, certifies the violations of the police. I want to believe in justice, so I have made complaints and requests constantly, but in my case procedures were invented, forged documents, interceptions that no one knows when they were made and with what they were made. The principle "the end justifies the means" is currently being applied. In the words of someone convicted of fraud, I am in custody and there was no court to say that with so many "half facts" the file cannot be kept up. People's justice led by the one who has all the powers in one hand. The prosecution in my case, in violation of the Constitution, the police exercise it! The police "appointed" the prosecutors without lot, knowing their names the day before the registration of my process. Maybe this is the standard of justice in Albania, maybe I'm waiting too long when I ask for the law to be implemented", he said about Erla Mehilli.
He further stated that Rama is hiding behind the decision not to let him take the oath. According to him, he is not letting justice decide itself.
