Ilir Beqaj sinks, the Bureau of Investigation learns from "Delta

The control seems to be related to the suspicions that Beqja has favored the 'Delta Pharma' company, changing the tender criteria, allowing the introduction of uncertified drugs into the country while he was the Minister of Health.

After checking the apartment of the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, it was learned that agents of the National Bureau of Investigation also checked the offices of 'Delta Pharma'.

According to the information, BKH agents have gone to the premises of this company with numerous police forces. The suspicions are that they are being checked for contracts signed by Ilir Beqaj, while he held the position of Minister of Health.

The control seems to be related to the suspicions that Beqja has favored the 'Delta Pharma' company, changing the criteria of a tender, allowing the introduction of uncertified drugs into the country while he was the Minister of Health.

There is only one case when the Minister of Health can introduce uncertified drugs into the country, only when the country faces emergency situations, a criterion which Beqaj seems not to have respected in order to favor the company 'Delta Pharma'.

The case was denounced by the Democratic Party in 2016, which then reported the Minister of Health of that time, Ilir Beqja, to the prosecutor's office for abuse of office, for interfering in the drug tender.

The DP at the time accused Minister Beqja of favoring the company of a friend of his, 'Delta Pharma', by changing the tender criteria.

Deputies Albana Vokshi and Jorida Tabaku told the media at the time that the damage caused is not only financial, but also to the health of the citizens, as the safety of medicines has been compromised.

In the meantime, we remind you that today Beqaja's apartment was searched by the State Police and BKH. The control in the apartment on "Barrikadave" street was done as part of the ongoing investigations for the "Sterilization" concession.

The former minister has been ordered to appear every Friday at the National Bureau of Investigation, not to leave the territory of Albania without the authorization of the court, and he is prohibited from using his passport or other means of identification for going abroad.

He is the highest official under accusation for the violations found with the contract of the public-private partnership of sterilization, after the arrest in August of this year of the businessman Ilir Rrapaj and his deputy in the Ministry of Health, Klodian Rrjepaj./ Pamphlet
