Former minister Fatmir Mediu, who has been charged by SPAK for the tragedy of 'Gërdec', appeared this morning at GJKKO.
The Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has summoned 71 witnesses to the trial for the explosion of the demolition factory in Gërdec.
So far, 40 of them have been questioned, officials and family members of victims or people affected by the tragedy of March 15, 2008.
In the last session (December 27), Shkëlzen Berisha testified, known for 15 years as the key person in determining the ammunition dismantling factory in Gërdec and the connections with Mihal Delijorgjin.
Summoned for the second time in the GJKKO, after the statements of the witnesses were also taken, Shkëlzeni said that the court summoned him in vain. Just like Fatmir Mediu, former Minister of Defense and Aldo Bumçi, former Minister of Justice, neither the son of the former Prime Minister knows anything about the fax from 2007 with the inscription "for Shkëlzen Berisha", a document that determined that the factory would be built in Gërdec.
It was Anila Gjergji in charge of software engineering at the Ministry of Defense who witnessed the fax received from the Ministry of Justice marked "for Shkëlzen" where Gërdeci was defined as the place of dismantling, a fact for which all the summoned officials have raised their shoulders before the prosecutors saying that they had not signed, knew nothing and had not sent it.
