Greece has temporarily withdrawn from the condition for the Beleri case and has signed the draft that contains the first chapters of the negotiation process for Albania's EU membership.
It is now known that the letter from the Spanish presidency of the European Union, with the request for the submission of guidelines for the first chapter of the process of negotiations for membership, has arrived in Albania.
The document was approved by the Council of Permanent Representatives in the European Union, after diplomatic negotiations by Germany and the Spanish presidency of the EU to convince Greece not to become an obstacle.
After the arrival of the letter from the Spanish Presidency, negotiations for Albania's EU membership will soon begin.
We recall that while Albania was preparing for the second step for the start of membership talks, Greece announced that it would block the process due to the dissatisfaction with the handling of Fredi Beleri's case.
But, Athina withdrew, describing the giving of the letter as a procedure and that she would treat Beleri as a condition in the future. The impasse has now been passed and talks on Albania's EU membership will begin soon with the consideration of two essential topics.
The first is the rule of law issue, and the second issue is administrative reform. The negotiation process is expected to be long for several years but ends with the final membership.
