Journalist Mentor Kikia has commented on the scenario of the Berisha-Bardhi group for blocking the plenary sessions.
Kikia says that this scenario has not brought any kind of change, since none of the opposition's demands have been met.
"The protest has an agenda, an objective, the objective is quite big in the parliament, it is related to the fulfillment of DP's demands for a significant number of parliamentary commissions, for many issues, changing the composition of the Electoral Reform Commission. The fact is that this agenda did not bring any kind of change or the fulfillment of demands", said Kikia for Report TV.
Kikia also stopped at the Electoral Reform process. According to him, if this Electoral Code is changed with only one party of the opposition, it will bring many disputes in the parliamentary elections of 2025.
"A few weeks ago, the EP pointed out the chaos that has engulfed the Assembly and asked both sides for dialogue and the introduction of the Assembly into the path of normal functioning. What remains the most vulnerable is the electoral reform commission, as it is counting the days to addressed the constitutional term limit to implement essential changes that must be made no later than one calendar year after holding the elections.
The end of March is the deadline. The big problem is that an election code made without one party means that there will be no recognition from one party and the elections will be unacceptable from the party that did not participate in the drafting of the code. This heralds a tense political climate, a pre- and post-election process filled with tensions and accusations," said Kikia.
As for the fight between PD and Reestablishment, Kikia said that they are fighting over who will hold the second place.
"This shows that this political chaos continues, in the opposition group, the main issue is still the fight between the two DP groups. Apparently, the fight for second place is even stronger. More arrows are fired at each other than work is done to create an alternative. Little is being done to produce and present to the citizens a reliable alternative", he continued.
