The mayor of Himara, Jorgo Gora, appeared at the premises of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption.
This is not the first time that he appears in SPAK, while it has not yet been announced whether he appears for questioning or submits documents.
Gora leads the municipality of Himara, since the elected mayor Fredi Beleri is arrested on suspicion of buying and selling votes in the local elections of May 14.
Beleri was arrested in the premises of a bar in Himare, just 2 days before the May 14 local elections.
He is accused of the criminal offense of "active corruption in elections, carried out in collaboration". Residents of Himara have said that they were promised money in exchange for votes.
The judicial review for Fredi Beleri has been closed and the next hearing will be held on February 13 at 2:00 p.m., where the claim will be read by the Prosecutor's Office.
