The students developed health problems immediately after consuming lunch, and authorities have launched an investigation.
Around 40 students of the Security Academy have developed health problems after consuming food on the institution's premises, raising suspicions of mass poisoning.
Preliminary sources indicate that the students felt unwell a few minutes after consuming lunch. Some of them had more serious complications and were transported to the hospital for medical attention.
The first suspicions relate to the food served during the midday meal. Food service at the Security Academy is provided by a private catering company, contracted to supply three meals a day to students.
Following the incident, the responsible institutions have initiated verifications and analyses to determine the cause of the suspected poisoning, while an expertise on the quality of the food consumed is also awaited.
Investigations are ongoing to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and those potentially responsible.
