Artificial intelligence is increasingly taking root in our daily lives. Even the Smart City project, which will be implemented by the company "PRISAJT Ej-AJ" from the Emirates, has this technology at its core.
PRISAJT is a company that seems to want to build the cities of the future, offering absolute control over their security and based on Smart technology.
The company claims that its role in controlling the Covid-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates was essential. As well as in the smooth running of the giant Expo 2020 organization with 23 million visitors.
Although the specifics are not yet public, in the presentation document of the project in Albania by the company itself, there are several elements that are revealed.
Presight's platform is able to build important bridges between artificial intelligence, information technology, and processing technology, so that cities can become more predictive, more responsive, and more secure.
At a general level, several objectives are given that are intended to be met, such as: monitoring and management of operations at the city level; optimizing the use of resources on a large scale; public safety and emergency response; real-time awareness of situations in various sectors; proactive and predictive decision-making; automation of operational processes and response to events; coordination between institutions for field services, etc.
"It is a project that has foreseen from point A to B all the points of monitoring, surveillance and distribution of information to those sources that need such information to carry out their functional duties ," said Faik Basha, security expert.
" It does not mean that one camera with AI is better than another camera. AI cameras are intelligent, more advanced: vision, recording, sound and behavior monitoring. Trendy terms are used, which do not scare, because if we decide to use more intelligent cameras for monitoring, it would create panic in people", said Edmond Licaj, IT expert.
Interestingly, the project claims that it can be installed on many types of cameras, so it can be placed on drones, on body cameras, such as in the case of the police, thermal cameras, or even IP (AJ-pi) cameras. This means that the cameras deployed today in the field can be connected to the new system that has information processing capabilities. So, the essence is integration into a system.
For AI (E-AJ) technology, cameras in 2MP HD, 4MP and 8MP or, as it is otherwise known, 4K are usually used.
This flexibility gives institutions the opportunity to build the system according to their needs and budget.
For the IT community, Albania is not ready for such a platform, given past problems and personal data leaks.
" Albania is in a situation where it needs to build a digital infrastructure for its identity. New identification numbers, new passports, so that we have broad long-term security for the next 15-20 years. Our data, in addition to being stolen, has been deleted, taken, what has not been done with it since 2008 and today and we are talking about how to now take this data and monitor it somewhere else, to give these Albanians access, so I strongly believe that what we know and talk about is very little in relation to what is hidden" , said Edmond Licaj, IT expert.
" We have no more privacy loss than we already have. However, with the increasing risks, we must also give up a little of ourselves ," said Faik Basha, security expert./ InsideStory
