Analyst Lorenc Vangjeli commented on the two important issues that SPAK currently has in hand, the investigation on incinerators and the one on the sterilization concession in health.
In an interview for the show "Top Story", he stated that these issues should be seen from three perspectives, moral, political and criminal. Judging the three together and in the compound, he said we can come to conclusions that may be surprising.
" In order to discuss either incinerators, sterilization or other concessions, we must look at the issue from three different angles, from a moral angle, a political angle and a criminal angle.
If we look at them separately, we can reach the wrong conclusions. Judging the three together and in the complex, we can come to conclusions that may be surprising. At the moment, because of political judgement, because of the distorted light that politics throws on such things, because of the interest of politics that have nothing to do with the truth at all... what we have done up to this point, it's throwing the baby out with the dirty bathwater ," he said.
The baby, which the analyst uses metaphorically, is the urgent need to solve the issue of waste in the country and health problems.
" For incinerators, it is Albania's screaming need to be different, to be cleaner. This is a political duty. Even for sterilization, the fact that we continued to operate in medieval conditions. Recognizing the need for such a thing to exist, I agree with you when you say it had to be done. But was the correct procedure followed?
By trying to make Albania cleaner, have some deeper pockets been made with dirty money? The same logic with sterilization ", he concluded.
