Crime cars disappear/ Adrian Koni of the Seized Assets Agency is accused of

The High State Control stated that 24 vehicles which were seized by the law enforcement bodies do not appear in the records of the Agency of Seized Assets.

The findings were made public in an audit report that KLSH developed at the Seized Assets Administration Agency.

"From the audit of the data made available by the head of the sector of relations with institutions, legal issues and material evidence of AAPSK, the condition of the vehicles taken over by the administrators until 31.12.2022 results as follows: 23 vehicles confiscated and 80 vehicles seized. Meanwhile, according to the manager of the warehouse, the state of the vehicles until 31.12.2022 results: 79 seized/confiscated stored vehicles. So, 24 vehicles did not turn out to have been delivered by the administrators to the storage facilities of AAPSK, contrary to point 1, article 20, of law 34/2014, as amended, and point 7, article 14, of the Internal Regulation of AAPSK", the report states.

According to KLSH, the Seized Assets Administration Agency has a total lack of financial discipline.

For the years 2018, 2019 and 2021, the physical inventory of properties and accounts under the administration of AAPSK was not carried out, bringing the risk of their loss or alienation in violation of the law", the report continues.

The entire report found that many of the projects financed through the Special Fund for the rehabilitation of crime victims have serious violations and financial abuses. For these findings, the KLSH has recommended the dismissal of the head of the Agency for the Administration of Seized Assets, Adrian Koni. / Kapitali.al
