The President of the EC, Charles Michel, in his speech during the inauguration of the European College in Tirana, declared that this dream became possible within a few months.
He said that this campus will help Albania to prepare for Europe, and to bring the region closer to Europe! According to him, this is an important step for Albania.
" Lord and gentlemen, Your Excellency, it is a real pleasure to be here with you today, to inaugurate the Tirana branch of the College of Europe. Ladies and gentlemen, the moment in which this inauguration takes place is truly symbolic, in 1992 the natolin branch was created in Poland for the College of Europe. And so, these countries, after the fall of the iron curtain. countries started getting ready for their membership in the EU and now, we have another door of the College of Europe, at a moment when Albania and other countries of the Western Balkans are trying and getting ready for their future in the EU.
Albania is actually a window for our European future, for all those wonderful things that will happen for Albania, for the region and for the European continent. This campus will help you to prepare for Europe, it brings the region closer to Europe and Europe closer to the region" , he emphasized.
