Summit in Tirana, Von der Leyen: We have had our eyes on the Israel-Palestine war, the attack by Hamas is unacceptable

The President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, has stated from Tirana that the eyes of the EU have been on Israel, despite the fact that the Berlin Process was being discussed in Tirana.

She condemned Hamas attacks while siding with Israel.

"We are here in Tirana, working to bring the Western Balkans closer and the European Union closer, but at the same time, the whole world has its eyes on the Israel-Palestine war. In our minds, there are no excuses for Hamas for terrorist attacks, for acts of terror. Israel has the right to defend itself under international law, and now, the Palestinians in Gaza need humanitarian aid. They do not have to pay the price for the barbarization of Hamas. This is the reason why the Commission has decided to triple the aid to Gaza, to 75 million euros", she emphasized.
