Drunk at the wheel, a citizen crashed in Elbasan, SPAK investigates MP Qani Xhafa

SPAK has started investigations against MP Qani Xhafa. 

The Special Court has decided to return the SPAK documents to the deputy of the Democratic Party, Qani Xhafa, to investigate, regarding the accident that occurred on March 13, 2023 on the boulevard 'Qemal Stafa' in Elbasan.

The decision was taken by judge Erjon Çela, who examined in this Monday's session the request of the Court of Elbasan, which declared incompetence for the case of the MP.

According to GJKKO, the investigations so far have been carried out by an incompetent prosecutor and will be handed over to SPAK, given that Xhafa is a subject that should be investigated by this prosecutor.

Now, the Special Prosecutor's Office will consider the MP's file, where after conducting the investigations, it will refer it to GJKKO for further actions.

Qani Xhafa has been charged with driving while intoxicated. The accident occurred when Xhafa was a candidate for deputy.
