Lefter Alla gave the 3 million euro tender to his relative, is sentenced to 3 years in prison

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has sentenced the former mayor of Bulqiza Lefter Alla to 3 years in prison.

GJKKO has also sentenced 8 other former officials of this municipality to prison.

They were found guilty by the Special Court, on charges of abuse of office, violation of equality in tenders and forgery.

Alla was sentenced to 3 years in prison, but due to the shortened trial, she will eventually serve 2 years of imprisonment.

We recall that Lefter Alla was arrested on March 15, 2023 together with 12 other people, 7 of them municipal officials for violation of equality in tenders and abuse of office on suspicions of abuse in a tender worth 3 million euros.

He is accused of cooperating with other former officials in favoring two companies during the public procurement procedure in order for the water supply works to be carried out by the company 'OE 2AF Albania shpk', which is under the administration of Alla's relative, Aqif Cones. The companies that won the tender were 'BOE Egland shpk' and 'BE-IS shpk'.
