" I left Israel the day before the events started, I arrived on Thursday evening. The information I received from friends in Israel was on Saturday morning. I received the message from a famous businessman with whom we were organizing a business tax with some American-Israeli and Albanian investors ", said Cane.
Another 40 students were evacuated just the day before, free of charge by Air Albania. Cane told the media that the Albanian embassy in Israel has done an excellent job contacting Albanians who needed to leave after Hamas' surprise attacks on Israel.
" The embassy has done an excellent job of contacting him. He contacted us urgently, he took direct account with the people who were interested, it was necessary to contact the embassy ", she said.
She also recounts conversations with friends.
I have received endless messages from friends, describing sirens, chaos, fear, people seeking shelter and running. Even the family of my landlady called me and said my daughter is just crying, I don't know what to do, we are experiencing inexplicable stress and anxiety.
Cane says he has never seen an attack of this scale before, while stressing that the scale of destruction is unimaginable.
" Terrorist attacks have been continuous, but not on this scale. Mostly the attacks have been against the army or soldiers, or attacks in a poorly organized manner, where international students have been killed, but never on this scale. It is inexcusable that innocent citizens are involved, the scale of destruction is unimaginable ," said Cane.
