The Democratic Party has established a conditional relationship with the Parliament, but will not boycott it. This was stated by Democratic leader Sali Berisha, who during a press conference said that the DP will not participate in the sessions until the changes demanded by the protesters are presented to the Parliament.
"We have not boycotted parliament. We have announced non-participation in parliamentary sessions and not in committees, as long as Edi Rama does not block the presentation in parliament of the amendments submitted by our deputies to change the laws that the protest representatives are demanding."
Keeping them without presenting them to parliament is a very serious insult to the opposition, the protest, and to Albanians.
It is a violation of the constitutional rights of opposition MPs. This is the reason and this is the position.
Let the presidency decide, let's present them, let's discuss them.
"It is the parliament's minimum obligation to the public, to Albanians and Albanians in protest," Berisha said.
