Pëllumb Meta's brother denies the accusations that his brother was authoritarian and violent with family members. He said that he was a model family man and behaved very well with his wife and children.

The macabre crime happened in the village of Shënavlash in Durrës. 50-year-old Pëllumb Meta was killed inside the apartment and his body was buried in the cattle shed where it was found 13 days later. Initially, the crime was taken over by the victim's 19-year-old daughter, but then the police discovered that the executor was the eldest son of the family, Hysen Meta, who had filed the police report of his father's disappearance on February 13.
Meanwhile, in cooperation with him were his sister and brother who had helped him in hiding the crime.
