The murder of 50-year-old Pëllumb Meta in the village of Shënavlash in Durrës is full of mystery, as the children of the Meta family have given contradictory evidence to the Police, which is preventing the investigation of this case.
At first, the girl took over, then the eldest son Hyseni, and yesterday, when questioned in court, he denied guilt and the girl took over the murder again.
So far, all the evidence weighs on the children and there are no proven facts that the head of the family has systematically abused them, although the whole family claims this.
Lawyer Ndue Pjetra told "Euronews Albania" that Pëllumb Meta was killed by his wife. He emphasized that another person who may be a relative of the woman may be hiding behind this. Among other things, he stated that he said that the children are protecting their mother.
"All this action was performed by the wife, but the possibility of a third person is not excluded, since the actions were performed before the child arrived. The attribute has been taken by the mother and the child takes this action to protect the mother. The mother is the negotiator, but the possibility of involving the mother's family is not excluded" , said the lawyer.
