Both sons of Pëllumb Meta, the 50-year-old who was found dead this Friday, are in the police.
It is suspected that 19-year-old Hygerta Meta, a student of the Faculty of Economics in Tirana, executed her father with a pistol and then buried him in the cattle shed, as he wanted to betroth her against her will.
The details of how the dynamics of the event happened and whether she was helped by her mother and brothers, who are under investigation, are still unclear.
How did the crime happen?
The whole incident started 10 days ago. It was the 25-year-old son who went to the Durrës police to report his father's disappearance, not knowing that the 50-year-old was buried right inside the fence of his apartment.
4 days after receiving the complaint, the police first found the 50-year-old's car parked on the Shënavlash-Sektor Rinia road axis. At this point, under the suspicion that Pëllumb Meta had disappeared, the police intensified their investigations and managed to secure evidence that actually showed that he had been murdered.
His body was found wrapped in a bag and buried in the hut, this Friday morning.
The 19-year-old, a student in Tirana, executed her father with a firearm, allegedly with a pistol that the victim had without a permit. According to the police, the young woman admitted the serious crime and stated that apart from the insistence on getting engaged, the parties also had other family conflicts.
She is said to have stated that she killed him on the 2nd floor of the house, then wrapped him in a bag and buried him in the shed.
