The family of Artan Lame, former director of the Cadastre, publicist and renowned historian, has reacted on social media, thanking all those who consoled him on his passing.
In a touching post on social media, the Lame family expressed gratitude for the extraordinary support they have received from ordinary citizens, friends, colleagues and public figures. Thousands of messages, hugs and memories have been shared these days for the man who passed away at the age of 58 while being treated in Germany for a heart condition.
Among the many messages, a special condolence message from former US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim, stood out, describing Lame as a rare man, passionate about history and national heritage. “More than most people, he helped build the future of Albania,” the American diplomat wrote.
