The daughter of the former prime minister, Sali Berisha, said that the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, has undergone a metamorphosis in the way he faces political pressure.
Invited to the show "Now" on Euronews Albania, she said that once the task force led by Duman was more efficient than the current SPAK, and this, according to her, is a fact of the transformation of the head of SPAK in the face of capture from politics.
" I showed many clues, but the main clue is the facts. If you compare the task force led by Altin Dumani in 2008-2009 when Dumani was not controlled by the government, today the results are 300% weaker.
To be precise with the statistics, in 2008-2009 there were 630 officials tried only for corruption. In the years 2022-2023, there were 199 for corruption and organized crime. The staff that the task force had at that time is incomparable to the strength it has today. It is Duman's metamorphosis in the face of political pressure and capture, that has changed ," said Malltezi.
