Eugen Beci, the former Head of the Prosecution of Serious Crimes, stated that the show on RAI3 should be seen as a scanner for the law enforcement bodies in Albania whose objective is the fight against crime, drugs and money laundering in Albania.
Beci said that the journalist very subtly exposed the Constitutional Court regarding the agreement on refugee camps, listing all conflicts or violations with European conventions.
"Do we have influence from the Albanian legislature and executive? Law enforcement bodies have failed to stop meetings between the Prime Minister with inappropriate contacts. We have the case of McGonigal, we have the case of this businessman who received the casino license, so we have a failure", said Beci.
He stated that there should be a proactive investigation by SPAK regarding the granting of the license, i.e. how was this casino license obtained, is there an acceleration of the granting of this license compared to other cases.
" Would this person get the license if he did not meet with Edi Rama?" Has this meeting affected the device with a license sooner or not, so these should come out of an investigation by the Prosecutor's Office ", said Beci in the show "Open" on News24.
He said that the Albanian law enforcement bodies should verify, even through telephone records.
" Who is this person in Durrës who maintains contacts, with whom does he communicate? Does he have contacts with criminal elements, what does he talk to them ", said Beci, adding that SPAK should investigate in detail what was stated in the RAI3 show.
Beci said that the narco-state is not the president of Sinaloa becoming Prime Minister, but the involvement of officials in the cannabisization of the country, in the narcotics traffic, in creating the conditions for money laundering.
" Ahmetaj is a beautiful procedural situation, as the Prosecution can approach as a repentant person. "SPAK, in order to prove the validity of Ahmetaj's statements, should approach and negotiate for a contrite agreement ," said Beci.
