Documents released by the US Department of Justice regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case reveal a 2010 email in which a person identified as Dan Dubno offers Epstein cooperation and makes surprising references to Albania.
According to the email, the sender wrote in a tone that could be interpreted as joking: “I rode past your private place yesterday. What are you building? A weapons factory? Having your own concrete factory would also be very useful if you are part of the Albanian mafia… Very impressive.”
This message is part of the many communications that Epstein had with various people in an attempt to expand his personal and professional network. The reference to the “Albanian mafia” is not accompanied by any further verification and appears to have been used in an ironic or humorous manner by Dubno.
The document also shows that various individuals attempted to offer services or cooperation to Epstein, including communications with a personal tone, humor, and often international references without confirmation of the facts.
