The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has arrived at the Special Court where he is participating in a session. According to journalist Klodiana Lala, Ilir Meta has strongly opposed all the claims of the special prosecutors.
A hearing is being held today to review Ilir Meta's request to replace the security measure from "prison arrest" to a lighter measure.
In the previous session, the prosecution presented a 31-page document, arguing that it has facts and evidence that support its position on the continuation of the measure of "prison arrest". But this was opposed by the defense, which considers the document to be inadequate to justify Meta's stay in prison.
Since October last year, the leader of the PL has been in prison, facing charges of money laundering and concealment of assets.
