
GJKKO has dismissed Sali Berisha's lawyers again, not accepting their request that the hearing against the former prime minister for changing the security measures against him take place with the presence of the media.
Also, in a previous decision, the request for the dismissal of judge Irena Gjoka from the case was rejected.
GJKKO will examine SPAK's request to place Sali Berisha under house arrest. Also, the Special Prosecutor's Office requested that the democratic leader be under police supervision and not be allowed to meet with anyone other than close family members.
"...With the security measure 'House arrest' provided by article 237 of the Penal Code, at the address self-declared in the documents by the person under investigation Sali Berisha, ordering him not to leave his apartment located at the address : "Mustafa Matohiti" street, building 36, entrance 1, Nd. 036, Administrative Unit no. 2, Tirana, ensuring his protection with State Police employees, as well as the prohibition of communication with other persons, except those who live together in the same apartment with him", the document states.
