The head of the Thurje Initiative, Endri Shabani, commented on Rama's statement about the situation in the north of Kosovo, who said that KFOR should take control of the country.
Shabani called Prime Minister Rama's statements wrong and said that KFOR cannot take control of the north of Kosovo.
"I believe that the statement that the North should be taken over by KFOR is not to Kosovo's advantage, because it shows that Kosovo does not have the capacity to administer the area by itself, while in fact we saw that Kosovo managed this situation, the problem here lies with Serbia. What happened in Kosovo showed two things, the first that the agreement on the Association becomes impossible because Serbia's announcement of a day of mourning for the killing of terrorists shows more or less that they have state support from behind and this raises doubts about what Serbian municipalities love the Association. Second, what happened these days in Kosovo calls into question all the basic ideas on which Edi Rama has promoted the Open Balkans," said Shabani for "Euronews Albania".
