The Director General of the National Food Authority, Jeta Deda is said to have resigned from the post.
It is reported that the removal from the post he held for two years was due to the audits and findings of the High State Control. It is expected that Deda's resignation will be officially announced in the next few hours.
The official reasons have not yet become clear, although a statement from her or her representatives is expected in the future. Deda was appointed to the position two years ago, after replacing Bledar Skenderi, accused of "abuse of duty" by the High State Control.
