Analyst Fitim Zekthi spoke about the changes to the draft of the new Criminal Code.
Zekthi said that the draft for the new Criminal Code may be necessary after it is reviewed and that it may also change based on time. He added that the law has been in the protection of people, but there have only been punishments.
"Perhaps it may be necessary to review the new penal code that may be necessary. The penal code may also change based on time. But what I see is that they are illogical, so no law is in the protection of people, but there are only punishments. In my opinion, there are some laws that are not fully in the protection of people and I would like them to be toughened," he told "News 24".
Analyst Zekthi emphasized that punishments for violence in Albania are weak and that stronger laws should exist.
"We are a country that should have strong laws. In Albania there are some weak punishments for violence," he concluded.
