The company "FRUIT CO" served citizens fruit that should have been

Two loads of fruit that should have been buried were brought into Albania and served to citizens.

More specifically, during the month of September, 7,300 kg of peaches imported from Greece were consumed with the dangerous pesticide "Phosmet", the use of which is strictly prohibited in EU countries and Albania.

In the same month, 882 kg of grapes were imported from Greece with above-the-limit residue levels of the pesticide "Propamocarb", posing a risk to human health.

"Ora News" has requested information from the National Food Authority (AKU) about the importer of these products that have put the lives of citizens at risk.

This institution, although legally obligated to do so, is not transparent with the media and the public and categorically refuses to make the name of the subject public.

It is reported that the entity that imported peaches and grapes with dangerous pesticides into Albania is "FRUIT CO", with administrator Mr. Bardhyl Muça.

The location of the entity is the Agro-Food Market, Tirana-Durrës highway, kilometer 1.

To clarify the situation and for transparency towards citizens, the television addressed a request for information to the entity "FRUIT CO".

The administrator of this entity, Bardhyl Muça, has refused to answer questions about which cities he distributed the product to, and furthermore, he has not taken any responsibility for the fact that he served the consumer fruit that endangered his life.

Mr. Muça has decided to "keep his mouth shut", but more alarming is the fact that even the AKU itself does not know where the grapes that should have been destroyed were distributed.

This sales invoice clearly shows that the entity sold the grapes with pesticides in Vlora, while the AKU Regional Directorate in Vlora officially states that this product was not distributed in the city of Vlora.

The failure of the NFA to guarantee food safety is being blamed on consumer health.

It is enough to remember the fact that the presence of the pesticide "Phosmet" in peaches causes rapid or irregular heartbeat and changes in blood pressure.

At the same time, it is associated with problems in the respiratory system, nervous system, and digestive system./ Ora News
