Lawyer Brizida Gjikondi has commented on the conference with journalists of the chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha. She described his speech as pathetic as she says that the leader of the Democratic Party was a hypocrite.
Gjikondi says that Basha has been hiding for 3 years, while emphasizing that he had the historic chance to make a "mea culpa" and distance himself from former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
"I think that Basha today, despite the fact that he had a well-organized speech, was a hypocrite. Since September 9, 2021, when he declared Berisha "non grata" in the Parliamentary Group, he has spent all his time under the table. Even Basha has tried to push this 3-year-old so hard, always hiding, not coming to the fore. He had the great historical chance, that after breaking up with Berisha, he made a "mea culpa", to show that I was really under his influence and now you will see how I am without a guardian who recommended me to do many things . Basha is one of the characters of Albanian politics, who has received a lot from politics as a political figure and in the executive and in politics.
It has not justified the large amount of titles and appointments it has had. He had 3 years to make a "mea culpa" and really distance himself from Berisha. I can't blame the man with that pathetic speech, I call it, because we have seen that for these 3 years, Basha, even when he was elected in July 2023, did not say anything about those local elections that he completely disappeared, even later has been non-existent. He no longer has numbers in parliament, all the things he said, no numbers. It's an anemic being, it doesn't tell me anything. It doesn't make you breathe" , said Gjikondi for "Abc News".
