The Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the appeal filed by Arbër Veliaj and Ajola Xoxa, who opposed the searches carried out in their homes and businesses on December 6, 2024, by decision of the GJKKO and request of SPAK.
The wife and brother of the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, had appealed the decision of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, but their request was rejected by the High Court.
This decision definitively seals the legality of the controls exercised by the authorities within the framework of SPAK investigations.
"Rejection of the appeals filed by the appellants, Arbër Veliaj and the legal entity 'Gogel SHPK', as well as Ajola Xoxa and the commercial company 'Partners Law SHPK', against decision no. 265 (87-2024-388), dated 24.12.2024, of the Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime ," the Supreme Court's announcement states.
