Political scientist Ermal Hasimja said SPAK has dealt the biggest blow to the legitimacy of the Rama government and now even internationals have changed their minds about the executive.
According to the political scientist, when the accusations were made by the opposition, they seemed like an exaggeration, but now it is difficult for internationals to deny them.
"SPAK and GJKKO have done something extraordinary in Albania, something that had never been done before. We were not used to ministers being accused. We were used to the idea that you can do whatever you want in Albania and justice will not touch you if you are a politician. This has been broken now. SPAK has another great merit, at the moment when the DP went to press conferences and denounced, some of the denunciations seemed to the public opinion as fantasies of the DP. Even people today were surprised when these facts came out. Today, because of SPAK, we discovered that those accusations were not only not speculations, but were the tip of the iceberg. SPAK has dealt the biggest blow to the legitimacy of today's government. The justice institutions have made the internationals change their minds about the government. Because we know very well that Rama has had very good relations with the international factor. Now it is much more difficult for the internationals, because when he only spoke to the opposition, it seemed a bit like "Exaggeration. It is very difficult even for internationals to deny these things and pretend they don't know. Even Rama himself is stressed and is reaching the point where he will make legal changes, it is not easy, because he will pay the cost ," Hasimja said on the "Off the Record" show on A2CNN.
