Invited to the show "Real Story", the former chairman of the Cults Committee, Ilir Kulla, said that he is closely familiar with the candidacies being discussed and that the most favored is Johan Pelushi.
Meanwhile, analyst Mentor Nazarko expressed that he is prejudiced against Archbishop Janullatos for his works in the service of Greekism and Greek schools.
Kulla: It's not easy to become a bishop. The race is open for the four, but the one who is most favored is Johani, then Andoni, Asti and this other son Mamaj are younger but are people who have benefited a lot from Anastasi.
Nazarko: What I consider important, rather than one or the other, would serve the national character of our church. Among the names, but in fact here is another negative contribution of Janullatos, it could be someone coming from the diaspora, for example from the Albanian Orthodox Church in America, which is an eventual candidacy, supported by the patriarch.
Kulla: During Berisha's time as prime minister, when I left the cult, the agreements were voted on in parliament. So, the duty that Janullatos and those bishops have is legally recognized by the Albanian state. You cannot fail to recognize their role legally. The point is that we must understand one thing, this great figure is leaving and what is important is that with his departure, he has left a statute for his heir and his successor. So we cannot prejudge him.
Nazarko: I am biased towards works in the service of Greekism, for Greek schools.
What worried me about him was the fact that, disrespecting the sensitivity of Albanians, he traveled in the car with the president of Greece for the two days of his visit in '96.
