Protest in Rrjoll, two residents injured

Two residents who were protesting over the property issue in the Rrjoll area were injured after a clash with police forces and were transported to the hospital for medical attention.

One of the injured, in a statement to the media, claimed that he was dragged by the officers and suffered injuries to his legs and neck. He also claimed that the day before, during the protest, his son was hit with stones by the police.

"Like every day, we are going to our lands, to the lands that our ancestors, our fathers and grandfathers left us. The police had become a fence, absolutely not letting you even step on it. They are surrounding it and are not even letting us walk. Yesterday, my son was punched, and today, as you can see.

"But we will not give up, they have thrown stones at us, they have thrown stones at our throats, in the most macabre way possible. Two people have been badly injured. We will continue without stopping, until justice is served. We are not against the state or anyone, we are against the workers, the works should be blocked. We only want justice. I was injured in the leg and neck, they dragged me away," he said.

Another injured resident has also stated to the media that he was hit several times with stones by a police officer, emphasizing that, regardless of the situation, the protest will continue.

"Like every day today. We go to our lands and they don't let us in, as if we are from Kabul. The police are 100% with the other side. Where is the state, let us go, for God's sake, because for the first two, no one has found us until now, but it will get worse."

"I have nothing to say. As soon as we went out to the fields, the police were insulting us, pushing us. One of them grabbed me and crushed me with a stone on my leg, back, chest, they left nothing undone. Two people were injured, I know very well, because I was in a coma. Don't take me to your country, I've only seen it in Albania," he told the media.
