Writer and publicist Fatos Lubonja says that placing the Israeli flag in the center of Tirana was an excessive act. He says that in such cases there are other ways to express solidarity as all opinions must be respected. But this, according to him, is done by Rama to appear in the eyes of the international community.

Certainly there should be solidarity and the act should be condemned, but this is not how problems are solved, with a servility that others do not do ", said Lubonja in News 24. He was asked if solidarity was sufficient for Kosovo as much as for Israel. Lubonja says that Rama always takes the side of the strongest.
" Rama is careful to show solidarity more with those who support him to stay in power, with the West, with the powerful than solidarity with the weak and those who are threatened. Here is also the difference. He does this act to show himself to the Westerners: Albania is taking such a stance. He did not express solidarity with Kurti because as it is known that when the issue of introducing the heads of municipalities happened and the West went so far as to sanction Kurti, Rama was in solidarity with them and not with Kosovo.
He does the calculations for the power because he has the Albanians under his feet after he has bought them all and that I need the support of the West to be safe at all. Albanians also expect the West to save them, so he knows and adjusts his policies with the West. Thus he manipulates the internationals to rule the Albanians.
In Rama and Kurti, I see two different models of governance. Rama is governing through that narco-oligarchic system he has created by relying on drug traffickers and a minority and rules with them together with their media. Kurti has another system that seeks to fight corruption and state capture by those who have captured the state in Albania.
I think therein lies the fundamental source of conflict between the two. Rama does not like Kurt's model and wants to "get rid of him". Rama wants to be comfortable as he was with those who were before Kurti in Kosovo and played the stones to seduce the internationals by presenting Kosovo as a deserted land", said Lubonja .
