Heavy rainfall overnight has caused flooding in the Murqina area, after the Ishëm River overflowed its banks, flooding dozens of hectares of agricultural land.
According to residents, the water has invaded large areas of cultivated land, causing significant damage to various agricultural crops. The situation is most severe in the village's outskirts, which is currently isolated, as the connecting road can only be crossed by high-altitude vehicles.
The increase in the river level has come as a result of numerous inflows from intense rainfall, while residents are concerned about the possibility of the situation worsening if the bad weather continues in the coming hours.
Local structures and civil emergency services are monitoring the situation on the ground, while citizens are appealed to avoid unnecessary movements and to exercise caution in flooded areas.
